Why blog? One, I currently have the time. Two, why not.
I have read different Blogs, cerebral blogs like the blog from my friend Karl Hess, "De Profundis Clamavi ad Te, Domine" or from a former seminary professor, Chad Bird, Flying Scroll | Musings and Poetry. I am not the greatest wordsmith, but with practice a person can improve their skills, which is also another reason I will endeavour to write about theology and the human life.
Principiis Obsta or resist the beginning is a quote from the Roman Poet Publius Ovidius Naso or Ovid, lived during the time of the first Emperor, Augustine. I choose this, because, we must resist temptation of the world, the devil, and our sinful lusts. Caveat, this is NOT a political blog, by any sort of the imagination. However, where the world intrudes into the one and only true religion, Christianity, I will not hesitate to speak the truth as Martin Luther and Martin Chemnitz did! In the tradition of the Book of Concord no personal names will be used if discussing false theology.
May God, the Father, the Son ✠, and the Holy Spirit bless you this day. For Ryan Loeslie, Im Namen des Vaters und des Sohnes ✠ und des Heiligen Geistes.
